Just like the bird that gives it its name, Peacock really knows how to impress its visitors.
Pavão, located in Vale do Mucuri, was born with the clearing of families who saw in the quality of the land in the region, a good opportunity for the development of livestock and agriculture, especially the planting of corn, beans, rice and cassava.
Over time, mining also gained prominence in the village's economy. Currently, other reasons draw attention to those who want to explore this place of a thousand charms.
The reception of the people of Pavone is undoubtedly something that surprises at first. Soon after, beautiful scenery unfolds like a fan in the tail of the animal that gives the town its name.
The Mucuri River, which borders a good part of Pavão's territory, is certainly the main local attraction, with great and inviting spots for stopping, bathing and admiring.
Still on the route of the Pedras Preciosas Cycling Tourism Route, an imposing rock formation, known as Pedra do Lambuza, will keep you company for most of the route, always majestic from every angle you look at.
Once in the urban center, beautiful squares invite you to have an ice cream, relax and end your trip along the Precious Stones Cycling Route.
